Why do we still create bases?
Most of the dolls are baseless now, or made with an original base. Most of the bases only seem to be some kind of 'inspiration' to look at, but not to use anymore. And many bases are used to create stolen art/bases.
I'm sick of it. I'm in the mood to stop releasing my bases. Private ones make dolls more unique, and can't be stolen/frankenbased so easily.

I'll think about what to do now. Maybe I can organize some kind of a (free) member area at my site, so people have to register to get my bases. Or similar.
MY SITE IS DOWN because I made a mistake when updating Joomla (the system behind the site). I'm not sure yet, but it looks like all my content needs to be created again. (I still have the files, but all the sites are deleted probably....and this was the greatest work when creating my site XD)
So...please be patient, it can take some weeks/months to get up everything again. I'll let you know, when it's up again.

Good old times
Am I really writing a journal for my old DA account? Yes, I really do. Let's go back to my 20s, it feels like another world for me at the moment. I'm now 33 years old, Mum of two kids. I cleaned my account a little, deleted all old photos (instagram is better for this; visit my account there: marion_leidig). I left my pixelart and bases, eventhough I'm not sure if there's still anyone of the old dollers here? Have you heard of "diamond paintings" yet? This is what we've used to do 10 years ago with MS Paint. Kinda interesting to see this new trend as a former pixel artist. Maybe it's worth a try to upload old artworks and see what happens? Or even create a new piece of art? Not sure. Years ago I bought a camera and tried to draw high resolution art instead of pixelart, because pixelart is too small to print, to "special" to use it somewhere. And it's a pity to spend many hours to create something, which you only store on your hard disk. But does art need to be used somewhere? Or
Still alive
Hello guys!
For those who are still watching me: I'm still alive.
But I didn't have any time to pixel. That's because I have a very time-consuming hobby (which has turned into a min-job already): Wedding Photohgraphy. And I have a 1-year-old son now ;) He's very active and walking/running through the house all time! That's very much fun but also quite exhausting.
Next year I want to do less photography jobs and try to care of myself more. And hopefully do more art (maybe pixel ;)) to relax and find my creativity again.
If you wonder where my site has gone: It's again down, and will be down. I love personal websites, but I need to take car

I'm not dead - but my site is now.
We had problems with Spam on my server, so we decided to take it down. Not sure when it will come back, my husband is already working to get it back again. Though I can't tell you when I have time to doll again and update my site... I miss a lot to hold contests (and enter them), but it seems the dolling community is a lot smaller than it used to be. Or is anything new (forum/group) which I missed the last few months?

Where are all the dollers?
I wasn't very active the last weeks, my motivation has gone. In real life as well as for dolls/art. So...I'm sorry for being so lazy, I hope we can continue with my current projects (I won't drop it ;) ) very soon.
And what happened to the community?
It's strange, but I feel like there are less dollers than the time before. There are no new forums or communities everyone moved to, right? So, where are you?
I rarely see new dolls from some older dollers. Newbies are fine, too, but I miss the dollers who kept inspiring me. Those who tried new techniques, who put more effort in their work, and usually had more ideas than just a simple shirt+j

This not cool at all your a wonderful base maker and doller and for her to have the nerves to post that base on a doll form and wouldn't think you the original maker not see that she make a base that was not hers to begin with your work and pass it off as her need to know she hurting the ones who do follow your rules and miss out on good base from you. I'm truly sorry this happen to you I hope you don't stop making wonderful base but I hope you make it where if some one want to used your bases that they really are truly going to used it for what they said they going to do with it and if they don't they should not be allow to used it.
